Longer, Happier Lives

Starts with routine veterinary care.

Wellness and Annual Exams Well pet exams are an important part of caring for your pet. Not only are they intended to monitor general health and well-being, but they also provide a touch point for our team to get to know your pet and for your pet to get to become comfortable with our team members. Our exam time is 45 minutes. This time is devoted to a complete physical exam and to discuss Dr. Hilden’s findings and to address any concerns you may have. The goal of these exams is to address any concerns or problems before they become more serious.

Comprehensive. Compassionate. Relationship driven. We offer mobile (in certain areas) or in-office appointments for our annual and wellness exams. Every new patient starts with an initial consultation appointment with Dr. Hilden. This appointment allows Dr. Hilden to thoroughly address any concerns you have and allows our team the time needed to create a personalized wellness plan for your pet. Dr. Hilden will have reviewed any previous records or medical conditions your pet has and discuss your concerns during this visit.

Spending time educating and coaching you to be the best people for your pets is at the heart of what we do. We see ourselves as a team member on your pets team. When it comes to the health and well-being of your pet we believe that for your pet to live their best life you need to know the basics of what your pet needs. We also believe that we need to understand your goals for your pet. It is this collaborative effort that will bring out the best in your pet.

This is High Quality Veterinary Care, reimagined. What is a complete physical exam? Evaluation of the cardiovascular (heart), neurological (brain and nerves), gastrointestinal (stomach and intestines), and musculoskeletal (muscles, joints and bones) systems for anything out of the ordinary. Additionally, Dr. Hilden evaluates your pets’ eyes, ears, lymph nodes, skin, coat and nails. This is completed by Dr. Hilden at the time of your scheduled appointment. What is a team approach?

We provide core vaccinations that fit your pet’s lifestyle. We also discuss non-core vaccinations and if they are a necessity for your pet’s health. This is especially important if you travel or spend a significant part of the year outside of Arizona. We discuss vaccine titers as an option for immunocompromised patients or to determine if your pet has adequate protection.
Internal parasite evaluations, heartworm, and tickborne diseases are routinely monitored. We discuss an appropriate schedule depending upon your pet’s personalized wellness plan.
Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention is offered in a variety of forms. After a discussion with our team we want you to pick your preferred method of prevention that will ensure its use and your pet’s best option to stay protected throughout the year.

Discussion with our team about not just the diet you feed but appropriate treats, meal times, and any other concerns you have around the nutritional needs of your pet. If you opt to use a home cooked option, our team will help guide you to the healthiest and safest choice for your pet, while addressing your pets micronutrient needs.

What exactly are they? What information do they carry? Does your pet have one? Does your pet need one? Is the information up to date? Our team will make sure you have the answers to these questions.
Discussion with our team about when to start complete blood panels and urinalysis for your pet. Knowing the reasoning behind our recommendations and what the results mean for your pet. Understanding the frequency requirements and what valuable information we will gain from the panels. When the results are in, one of our team members will contact you and spend the time going through the results with you.

We carry many of the medications needed to get your pet feeling better as quickly as possible. We also gave a fully accredited online pharmacy so you have the convenience of long-term medications mailed directly to the address of your choice. Do you have a personal local pharmacy you would rather use? Let our team know and we will cut through the red tape, making your experience easier to navigate.
